A CAUSE FOR PAWS-Celebrating our animal friends

"Animal lovers are a special breed of humans,
generous of spirit, full of empathy,
perhaps a little prone to sentimentality
and with hearts as big as a cloudless sky."
John Grogan (Marley and Me)*

Welcome to the page for those who fit the description above, those whose hearts are filled to the brim with animal love. Here you can share your own stories about those creatures, large and small, that have touched your life in the way only animals can. You can also find/share recipes for treats, suggestions for movies and books, and links to animal related sites of interest.

Looks like the bovine little lady doesn't want the human little lady to leave.....

A wonderful dog named Berlin loved these tasty treats! Maybe your canine buddy will, too. So easy to make and to have handy for a quick snack on those days when no shoes have been chewed. : ) Take a package of graham crackers and a jar of peanut butter. I used organic for both but that option is up to you. Simply spread peanut butter onto one side of a whole cracker and then place another cracker on top, making a sandwich. Make as many as you want and then break the sandwiches into bite size chunks. Place all pieces in a container and freeze. I tried keeping these in the fridge but Berlin loved them out of the freezer--cold and crunchy and filled with peanut butter. Yummy for his doggie tummy!

A wooded path. A beloved old horse. A girl and her guy.
Animals are there in some of the sweetest moments of
our lives----watching over us and hoping the best for us, always.
